Robert Downey Jr's production company is known for its annual client gift boxes, and for the 2016 run we got the call to make 500 pieces based off of his original 3D Scan data.
To start off, we 3D Printed one master part in High-Resolution Resin and then created several Silicone mold cavities. Hundreds of copies were then produced using a rotocasting method with different tinted colors chosen by Ironman himself. Each head twist-locks into a 3D Printed base with a podium which rises up inside the head cavity to hold an LED candle.
Sketches, ideas, and reference materials are used to produce digital 3D Model designs to match project requirements. A feedback-oriented revisions and approval process ensures that the final models meet spec.
Production of accurate plastic parts, starting from digital 3D Model files. Parts can be created as quickly as same-day.
Along with 3D Printed parts, traditional materials and fabrication techniques are used to build customized solutions that require more than just a single part.
